If you suspect WorldPac is not communicating with Shop Manager, first check the connection status on the WP screen. You should see a green dot in the bottom right corner.

If the dot is red, and you have confirmed all the settings as per this article, there may be a browser extension or another application interfering with it. The most common of these are network tools, like anti-virus software. To test this, go to the Chrome settings page, and select the Extensions tab. There, you can turn off the extensions temporarily, to see if one is interfering with the WorldPac connection.

If, after turning off the extensions, there is still a problem, there may be an app. blocking the port. Go to the WorldPac settings page ViewPreferences→Shop Software, and uncheck then recheck the Enable Shop Software Browser Interface. If it fails to connect, check for a firewall blocking the port. Apps. like Kaspersky Internet Security, Malware Bytes, and others almost always add a firewall that interferes with port 17944. They have to be configured to allow that open port. Refer to the support materials for those applications to enable the port.
