Configure WorldPac SpeedDIAL 2.0 to Sync with Shop Manager

Shop Manager can launch parts queries and submit orders through five different integrators—WHI Nexpart, PartsTech, Parts Authority, WorldPac SpeedDIAL 2.0, and MyPlaceForParts. This article explains how to configure Shop Manager to launch WorldPac SpeedDial 2.0. See our article Using eCommerce for Estimates and Recommendations for more general information.

Step 1: Create and Confirm your WorldPac Account

Before setting up the WorldPac SpeedDIAL 2.0 integration, you must create or have an existing WorldPac SpeedDIAL 2.0 account. If you already have an account, you may move on to Step 2. If you do not yet have an account, please follow the instructions below.

  • speedDIAL Classic vs. speedDIAL 2.0 Credentials
    • If a WORLDPAC customer is using speedDIAL Classic, it does not mean they automatically have credentials for speedDIAL 2.0.
    • Customers will still need to request a User ID to access speedDIAL 2.0.

  • Requesting a User ID or Becoming a WORLDPAC Customer
    • speedDIAL 2.0 direct website: Login - speedDIAL 2.0
    • Below the login section on the speedDIAL 2.0 website, there are options for customers to:

        • Request a User ID.
        • Sign up to become a WORLDPAC customer.
      • Customers can also call their account manager or WORLDPAC Customer First at 800-888-9982 x5470 for assistance.

Step 2: Obtain Your Account Number and API Token

To set up the WorldPac SpeedDIAL 2.0 integration with Shop Manager, you must first login to WorldPac SpeedDIAL 2.0 to obtain your account number and create an API token. To obtain the account number and create a token, select your profile in the upper right-hand corner of the SpeedDIAL 2.0 homepage, then select ‘Settings’ from the dropdown. Once the settings page is open, there is a tab called ‘API Tokens,’* navigate there and choose to create a new token.

*NOTEIn order to have the API Token option show up under your settings, you must be an ‘Owner’ or a ‘Parts Manager’ in SpeedDial 2.0. If you do not see the option, please contact SpeedDial.

A New Token modal will appear, asking you to enter in a token name. After a name is chosen, you’ll be presented with another modal that contains your token key and your account number. It is recommended to copy the information over to Shop Manager per the instructions below before closing out of the token key information modal.

See an example of what this looks like below (note this is just an example, the credentials are not valid).

Step 3: Configure WorldPac SpeedDIAL 2.0 as a Vendor in Shop Manager

Once you have your account number and token key you can then set up Shop Manager to connect with WorldPac SpeedDIAL 2.0. Start by going to your Parts > Integrators page and there is an option to connect to SpeedDIAL 2.0. Click the blue button to Connect and a modal will pop up asking for your Account Number, Username (email address), and API Token.

Input the requested information then click the button to Connect WorldPacSpeedDIAL 2.0. If successful, a growler message will appear in the upper right corner of the screen telling you that the connection is successful and you’ll see the connection status in Shop Manager, along with the ability to disconnect, if ever needed.

It is recommended to remove other vendor integrations in Shop Manager for WorldPac SpeedDIAL, such as if you were using the desktop application or ordering through PartsTech. Now all WorldPac vendors can be assigned to the SpeedDIAL 2.0 integration.

Step 4: Ordering Parts Through the WorldPac SpeedDIAL 2.0 Integration

After the integration is successfully connected, you are able to access and order parts  using SpeedDIAL 2.0 through Shop Manager's eCommerce function. First, navigate to either the Parts > Inventory tab or to a Repair Order with parts added and choose to go out to eComm. Once in eComm, you will see the WorldPac SpeeDIAL 2.0 tab, click on the tab if it is not your default then click the blue button to launch SpeedDIAL 2.0.

Depending on if you access eComm through Inventory or an RO, you may see vehicle information pre-populated or you can select a vehicle. After a vehicle is chosen, you can search and add parts to your cart. When ready to order, navigate to your cart within SpeedDIAL 2.0 and there are various options to choose from to either quote or place the part order.

Notice that the submission options are greyed out, this is because the PO# is required to be entered before you send the order back to Shop Manager, ensuring that you get the PO# you want, and it matches.

After the quote or order is submitted, you will see a growler message in Shop Manager indicating the part information was received.
