Overview
Welcome to Shop Manager! The all-in-one platform designed to streamline your shop's operations. In this article, we will quickly guide you through logging in for the first time and how to navigate the Shop Manager site using the navigational toolbar. By the end of this guide you should have a basic understanding of each of the tabs in the toolbar and be ready to set up your Shop and Account settings.

 

Login 
The first step in your journey with Shop Manager is logging into the program. Your Success Representative will send you a Welcome Email containing a link that will prompt you to set up your account by creating a password. Keep in mind that passwords are case-sensitive and must be at least eight characters long.  
 
You can login to your Shop Manager account anytime at login.shopmanager.identifix.com (we recommend bookmarking or saving this link).
 

For new shops needing assistance with logging in, please contact your success representative.
 
 
 

Navigating the Toolbar
Upon logging into Shop Manager, you will notice the toolbar on the left-hand side. This toolbar is your primary navigation tool, allowing you to access the various features and areas within Shop Manager.

 

**Note that the ability to see these tabs within the toolbar are permission based, please consult a manager or shop owner to adjust permissions to allow for toolbar access. 

 

The first page that you are typically directed to when logging into Shop Man is the 'Jobs in the Shop' tab (see image below). This tab provides staff members with a comprehensive overview of their assigned jobs, the staff workflow, as well as open and closed jobs.



 

Let's quickly review each tab and their purpose below:

Jobs in the Shop:

This page is where you'll see jobs assigned to you, access to the Workflow page, Open Jobs, and Closed Jobs.


Scheduling:

This is where you'll work with the calendar, see near term appointments, appointments that are further out, and most importantly this is where you'll access your Estimates under the 'Unscheduled Estimates' tab.


Reports:

A variety of reporting and data is available under the Reports tab, such as: Invoices, Payments, Technician Reports, Category Reports, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and lastly you can export reports (permissions based). 

 

Analytics:

If Analytics is included in your subscription, then here is where you can find advanced reporting, view various dashboards, and export reports. 


Customers:

Here you'll view your Customer database as well as add new Customers. You can export your Customer data and also Unfulfilled Recommendations (permissions based).


Cannery:

The Cannery allows you to view your canned jobs, create/edit canned jobs, and search.


Inventory & Parts:

Parts you add to the system are stored in your Parts database. You can also configure Vendors on this page as well as track Orders and Purchases. If you have the Parts Optimizer in your subscription, this is where you will activate the Optimizer and made edits to it.


Global Search:

You can search for Customers, Vehicles, and RO's using the global search function.


User Icon:

The User icon is where you'll go to access shop and account settings, the Support Help Center, clock in/out of the shop, and view your profile. *note that the ability to view shop and account settings are permission based


Help? Icon:

If you have the Help ? icon in your toolbar, you can use this to quickly access support articles, videos, onboarding steps, and there is a quick link to the support site where you can explore more self-help documentation. (if you do not see this icon and want it to appear, please reach out to support)
