Shop Manager by Identifix is a powerful web-based application, and for optimal performance, we recommend using up-to-date hardware whenever possible. However, a reliable high-speed internet connection will have the most significant impact on your experience. Ensuring a stable and fast connection will help you get the best out of Shop Manager.
Note for Technicians: Shop Manager supports mobile devices, enabling technicians to perform digital inspections and capture images or videos right at the customer’s vehicle. For the best experience, we recommend a device with a built-in camera and a long battery life. A tablet with a durable case is ideal for withstanding the demands of a busy shop environment.
Computers (PCs and Laptops)
The latest non-beta version of Google Chrome is the officially supported internet browser for Shop Manager. Other browsers may work, but are untested.
Windows based:
- Windows10 Operating System or above
Apple/Mac based:
- macOS 11.X “Big Sur” or above
- Apple Silicon M1 (Pro or above recommended)
Note: For Check-in Kiosks, we recommend using a large touchscreen monitor. This allows the customer to interact with the software directly. For example, this is useful when signing an estimate.
Mobile Devices (Tablets and Smartphones)
- An Apple (iPhone / iPad) device capable of running iOS 16+
- An Android device running OS version 12+
NOTE: Please note that Shop Manager is currently unsupported on Amazon Fire, Kindle, Nook, or Chromebook devices and may not function as expected on these platforms.
