The Expeditor is a tool to facilitate workflow. Within the program, ROs are "held" by one individual at a time. They can then transfer the job to a colleague, virtually handing them the RO.

This sends a notification to the recipients browser, and shows up immediately on the Workflow tab of Jobs In The Shop. Thus, a manager can see at a glance, in real time, who is responsible for a job at any given time.

To enable The Expeditor, go to Account Settings ⟶ Account Info, and check the box.

Once the Expeditor is enabled, you will see a new tab on top of the Home Page.

When an RO is started, it is first assigned to the individual who clicked the Start Job button (who was logged in). It can then be transferred to a waiting tech, or parts counter, or whomever should take charge. At this time, the status can be updated, and a note can be written to inform the recipient of any particulars.

The recipient receives a notification, along with the note written.

RO's can also be transferred from the Workflow tab by an advisor, but without the option of a note.

The recipient will still receive the notification. Finally, all transfer details are captured in the RO log:
