Selecting Parts to Edit in Bulk
To perform bulk actions, start by selecting the parts you want to edit. To select individual parts, check the box(s) in the far-left column. If you want to select all the parts matching your current filters, simply tick the 'Select All' button (the very top selection box). As you navigate through different pages, your selections will be saved, allowing you to continue adding parts to your batch. You can view how many parts are in your batch within the Bulk Actions button.
Once you've finalized your selection, you can proceed with your desired action by choosing the 'Bulk Actions' button in the upper right of the parts list and selecting one of the Bulk Edit options.

You can easily bulk edit the quantity on hand for parts, simplifying your inventory management. When you choose to bulk edit quantity on hand, a user-friendly modal will appear, allowing you to adjust quantities for each part with ease. Need more details about a specific part? Just click 'Show All' to expand the view and see all current statuses before making changes, or view full part details by directly clicking on the part name and a new tab will open with the part information modal.
Within the same modal, you can update each part's location individually and even sort by location for better organization. To access the drop-down list of locations, simply select to Edit the location and click within the text box—making it quick and easy to find and assign the right location for each part.
If a location is already assigned and needs to be updated, simply select to Edit the location and clear the text within the textbox to bring up your list of existing locations.
For team members responsible for counting inventory but without access to perform inventory actions, you can print an inventory sheet in a .CSV format featuring the selected parts by selecting the Print button in the edit quantity modal. This sheet allows staff to manually record quantities during their count. Once completed, a staff member with the appropriate permissions can review the sheet and input the quantity adjustments into Shop Manager.
Please note that, at this time, there isn’t an option to upload the sheet directly back into the system.

After the quantities are adjusted for each part and you're ready to save the changes, select the 'Apply all changes' button. Your parts inventory list will then refresh, keeping the same parts selected in the batch.
When choosing to bulk edit part location, a small modal will appear asking you to enter in a new part location for all parts selected in the batch. You can either choose to add a new location, or you can select an existing location from a drop down when clicking inside the text field.
After the located is saved, your parts inventory list will refresh - keeping the same parts selected that were in the batch.
When selecting to bulk edit the part type, a small modal will appear with a drop-down where you will choose which part type you want to change the selected parts to. Currently you can choose between 'part' and 'tire' as a part type.
Once you continue, a warning message will appear. Please take notice to this message before continuing! The action cannot be undone.
Once you're sure that you want to proceed with the action, click the 'Yes, I'm Sure' button. Your parts inventory list will then refresh, keeping the parts selected in your batch.
Edit Part Pricing (AI Parts Matrix Only)
Another bulk action you can perform is editing part pricing by selecting whether or not the AI Parts Matrix should be enabled for the selected parts. After selecting to bulk edit part pricing, you'll be presented with a modal that reviews how many parts are selected, what changes would be made, and you can choose to turn AI Parts Matrix ON or OFF.
**Note: The AI Parts Matrix is a paid feature that must be added to your subscription in order to access. To upgrade your plan or add on the AI Parts Matrix, please contact our support team.
If you're turning the AI Parts Matrix OFF - a drop-down menu will appear allowing you to select group pricing or have the part sell at list price.
If you're choosing to turn the AI Parts Matrix ON you'll see how parts pricing will be determined based off your current Optimizer settings when you select the 'Continue' button.
After making the selection and continuing, you'll be shown a quick review of the action being performed, allowing you to make edits, if necessary, before officially changing parts pricing. Once the action of "Update Parts" is complete, your parts inventory list will refresh and your batch will be cleared.

When choosing to bulk edit part fees, you can select to turn fees ON or OFF. If you choose to add a part fee, you'll be asked to enter in the fee description, calculation, amount, and choose if the fee should be taxable.
Once you select to continue, you'll be given a chance to review the changes before officially submitting them, allowing adjustments to be made if needed.
After the 'Update Parts' button is pressed, your parts inventory page will refresh and your batch will be cleared.
